He comes from a small remote village in Ghana. Extracted by hand from shea nuts, this butter is neither refined nor treated, in order to keep all its properties intact. It is nourishing, protects and repairs the skin. It's a must-have for irritated, dry, and/or damaged skin, in addition to helping arm yourself against the sun's harmful rays. The main differences with refined shea butter are the color, the strong odor and the unsaponifiables present in greater quantities. Due to the manual method of manufacture, some small particles of impurity can sometimes be found in the raw butter, such as vegetable fibers and/or tiny particles of the shell. The color will therefore have natural inconsistencies that vary, depending on the batch.
